I’m the founder and CEO of Jalydew, a full-service marketing consultancy focusing on lead generation for recruitment tech and marketing tech companies. My career spans B2B, B2C and even some B2G marketing, and I’ve enjoyed gaining experience in nearly all facets of marketing, from branding, communications, and digital marketing – but have always enjoyed lead gen the most.
Several years ago, I began working with a recruitment tech startup and have been enthralled by the startup tech world ever since. It was fast-paced, challenging, and ever-changing – so I had something new to look forward to each day. I was given the opportunity to learn and use the latest marketing technologies, which I honestly can’t imagine working without now. But my favorite part was building the marketing program from the ground up because I was able to start with a clean slate, employ some tried and true marketing strategies, try some new marketing tactics, and optimize, optimize, optimize. It was in this role that I really felt myself growing professionally for the first time in years, and discovered the wonderful world of startup tech marketing.
Since then, I’ve been obsessed with tech startups and have worked with a dozen more, either in-house or as a consultant. Which brings me to this post. What is Jalydew?
Jalydew is a marketing consultancy I started in April of 2014 as a side project to see if I wanted to leave the security of a perfectly good job to go off on my own. In September of 2014, I did just that and, as it turns out, it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
The name, Jalydew, is a derivative of my name: Jen Alysia Dewar. These days, a good company name doesn’t matter if you can’t get the website domain and Twitter handle for it, so I had to get creative to come up with something unique. I look forward to dominating the SERPs for my name!
Since starting my consultancy, I’ve had the opportunity to work with so many amazing companies and help them take their businesses to the next level. By focusing primarily on marketing tech and recruitment tech companies, I can stay on top of important industry trends and competitive insights so I can hit the ground running with each new client and complete projects in a timely manner.
Whether my clients need a complete marketing strategy built and implemented, or a supplemental project completed that they just don’t have the bandwidth to handle, I love to see how I can take a company’s lead generation efforts to the next level.
